Summer Boardwalk

Bath & Body Works released their new collection of candles for the summer.

I can't even begin to tell you how much I'm in love with this Summer Boardwalk scent.

I bought two of the mini's since they're two for five dollars and this little stand for them to sit in on my desk. I wanted to test out the mini's before buying a large one, like above. I think it's one of those scents that I'm going to find myself stocking up on.

Review: Wet n' Wild Matte Lipsticks

I'm not really one that wears a lot of lipstick, mainly because of how it feels on my lips, but I found one today that I really kind of like and might look forward to trying out more. It's from Wet n' Wild, so it makes me wonder how long it will really last. The lipstick is supposed to be a matte lipstick, but there is some shine to it if you add a couple of layers. Plus at Meijer's they were Buy One Get One Half Off, so I did pick up these and a nail polish and at a dollar something it's not like I could beat it. I might even go back for a couple more. They had a surprisingly good amount of colors to choose from, these were obviously some of the more stand out shades that they had to offer.

I really like the first two and I'm a little confused about the last color. I don't know if it's because it's so light in color or that it's so pink, if that makes any sense. I did find that the last one was a little harder at covering than the other two. I think my favorite is the second one.. I clearly need opinions because I really don't know much about lipstick colors and what really looks good.

Workspace Wednesday

With Mother's Day quickly approaching and my parents leaving on Saturday morning to see my brother in Virginia, I'm left with getting my gift around for my Mom to have ready by Friday evening. We're having my grandparents over for a cookout, so I figured either during that time or after I would give my mom her gift.

Like other Mother's Day's in the past, I'm left with not knowing what to get her for the big day, so I usually end up making something for her, such as this gift from two years ago. This year I'm tediously cutting out a design for her that I recently pinned and redesigned in Illustrator. I'm really excited to see how it turns out! It's been a pain since I do not have a Silhouette, I'm left cutting everything out by hand and I think my fingers just might fall off.

Quality Time

On Saturday my mom and I headed down to Findlay to attend a craft show. They convert the fair grounds down there to hold all of the vendors within the barns and some even set up outside.  It really reminds me of the fair though with all of the concessions that get set up.. and clearly there's funnel cake or I would not have even went. Thankfully the weather was perfect. The days leading up to it had been filled with rain, so it was nice to have a little break in the weather.

With my parents heading down this weekend to visit my brother for Mother's Day, I can't go because of work, it was nice to have some time with my mom since I won't be able to spend Sunday with her.
