Judge Judy?

As you might have read in previous posts, I've had a huge issue with a previous employer not paying me the full amount that I was owed during that time. So instead of just getting paid the small amount that he paid me, I was going to fight for the rest of the amount and then also try to get him to pay the $47 to file the paper work, the $57.57 to have the papers delivered to him, and also this $20 that I just paid to have the papers dropped to his parents home since he now lives in New York. My biggest issue is that I live in Ohio and during the time that I worked for this man his business was in Warren, Michigan. This has been hard enough to just find out a way to go around things so that I would even be able to get my money from him. Now that things are hopefully going to be happening, this little letter arrived in the mail.

Not only just sent to me, but delivered by UPS. Serious business.

They some how got my papers (public records) from Warren District Court and thought that my case would be good enough for their television show. Paid expenses to fly me out to Los Angeles.

Ridiculousness.

I literally laughed when I opened this up and seen that it said Judge Judy.

Probably out of nervousness and at how strange this was that I was being asked to be apart of their show.

I have been a major slacker when it comes to this blog. I have not been in the mood to do posts or really share anything for that matter. It's sad, but that's life.. sometimes I'm really into something and other times I'm really not. 

I have been working two jobs, which works and doesn't work. One place gives me a lot of hours and the other works in a couple hours each week. I am usually at work from 8AM - 4:30PM and then I head to my other job to work from 5PM - 9:15PM. They're long days.. very long days. I have also been picking up some extra shifts at the job that doesn't give me much, which will be nice on my pay check.

Most of the time I'm exhausted at the end of the day, but then I'm reminded that until I can find something better, student loans are not going to just stop coming in because I'm not ready for them.

So while all of this is happening, I am beginning to look for more full-time jobs and trying to come up with other things that I can do in the mean time, like maybe start photography. 

At least now you know why I have been MIA for a while and why I may not be blogging very much.

Shamrock Shake Copycat Recipe

You read that right!

Since this little shake is going to be making it's way out of McDonald's soon enough, why not enjoy the recipe (or at least a copycat recipe) at home? I found this while browsing the internet last night and thought I'd share!

Kinda like when I shared these.

McDonald's Shamrock Shake Copycat Recipe
(makes 1 giant shake, or 2 generously sized shakes)

Ingredients:
3 cups good quality vanilla ice cream
1 3/4 cups 1% milk
1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
Green food coloring, if desired

Directions:
Blend all ingredients in a blender until completely thick and smooth. Pour into glasses and serve!

DEALS: Rite Aid & Amazon Music

Today I stopped into Rite Aid because I had found some really good coupons in the Sunday ads. Rite Aid actually had their own coupons in this weeks ad, so I took advantage of that and also the ones that were in Red Plum and whatever the other two are.

So from the Rite Aid ad I grabbed the Revlon coupon which is $3.00 off one nail polish.

The store actually had signs up about this $3.00 off so I asked if I could use it on more than one nail polish. If they allow you to do this you can't use the one coupon on both, you do have to have separate coupons.. my cashier used another coupon that was behind the register. So I got two polishes for $2.00 each instead of $4.99 each.

Rite Aid also had a coupon for the brand Prestige that was $3.00 off a single item. So I found this mascara for $6.99, I believe, and then it was marked down 75% and then the coupon on top of it made it free.

And lastly I found a Aussie coupon in one of the other coupon books that came on Sunday(3/4). The coupon was buy one get one for $2.00 off. Rite Aid has them on sale this week for 2/ $5.00 and then with the coupon I got both of them for $3.00.

With tax the entire purchase was

$6.72

Now if you love music, I just got this great deal..

Yep, you read that right.. 25 CENTS for an entire CD download.

Now, I'm not entirely into all of the songs that are on here, but there are some that I do like and for 25 cents you can't buy one single song for that amount.

I'm not sure how long it's going to be this cheap, so make sure to check the price before placing your order. The best thing for me is that I can add everything into iTunes with the rest of my music.

Shop Update: Easter Onesie

DIY: Handmade Stamps

Many of you had seen this post and were wondering if I would do a tutorial for it.

So here it is!

Supplies:

Stamp block

Linoleum Cutter

Pencil

1. I had created my design in Illustrator. You could use Microsoft Word or even Paint.. do they even have this on computers anymore? Eh, I'm so behind with the PC with not using one for four years. Anyways.. Make sure your design is printed the way you would really read it instead of flipped.

2. I printed off my design, which is the web address for the shop, traced the text with a pencil.

3. Next I took a wet paper towel and rubbed it on the rubber sheet and then flipped my paper over and placed it on top, make sure to rub on top of the paper.. I've found that the back of a spoon works best.

4. Take the smallest piece from your cutting set to outline everything and to clean out the tight places in between the letters.

5. Take the largest piece from your set and use this to remove everything else.

6. Stamp away!

*I found that after stamping that there were some letters and areas on the stamp that needed to be cleaned up. You can then go back while there is ink on the stamp and clean everything up.
