Today I'm off to Michigan to work on some things that really should have been done months ago, more on that later after things are settled!
Anyways, this weekend I was working on some tutu's for the shop. I've always wanted to add more baby products to the shop and I'm slowing finding more items that I can add. The onesies seem to be a great hit with everyone, so I figured I might as well continue along the baby trail instead of working on other projects that no one buys! Good idea, right?
You can follow me on Instagram @saratornow
You probably wonder why I ask so many questions.. but I want to find out what you guys like to see, not only in the shop but on the blog. It's a way for me to make things more personal for everyone and to not just talk about what I want to share, even though that's mostly what happens anyways!
But today I just have a couple of questions regarding the shop.
Would you be interested in toddler t-shirts that would have similar designs to the onesies?
Are you interested in custom orders?
What additional baby products would you like to see in the shop?
I'm in the middle of re-designing the site, but I thought I would stop in and ask for you to vote for me in this contest. I really didn't think that my votes would go up any but yesterday I started at 221 and today I'm at 92.. Okay, let's make that 73 right now! EEK!
I would love it if you could come over and vote for my package design.
I have never ever participated in a swap before, but I definitely feel like I picked the right one for my first! I recently participated in Alissa and Caroline's Valentine Swap that started back in January and I got paired up with the sweet Lindsey Jo from A Cup of Lindsey Jo.
Here's what she sent to me:
And let me tell you, I have used everything! This is my second time wearing the nail polish with literally lasts a long time, I'm currently rocking the socks for today, and I've used the mug about five times already. Don't think that Lindsey Jo didn't just send me two candies, oh no there were tons, but this is all that's left, except for the couple that are stashed in my purse.
I'm really not one that's up for Valentine's Day, but with this swap it's definitely made the holiday a little bit better.
You can check out what I sent to Lindsey Jo right here.
You might be participating in this or you might not, but Rags to Stitches is hosting a Valentines Swap and I decided to participate in it. I received who my swap partner was a couple weeks ago and I immediately got to work on what I was going to send her. Now being a person who would rather make something than purchase something, I went ahead and made almost everything that I sent her way. I think there were two things that I bought and then everything else was handmade. Instead of showing you what I bought her, I thought I would share the packaging that I did.
I wrapped everything with tissue paper from the Dollar Tree, there was a really cute heart patterned print that were on a couple of sheets so I really bought it because of that. I took a paper punch and cut out all of the scalloped circles and then a tiny hole punch and put in some small holes to add a decorative touch to each of them. I bought the polka dot tape from Michael's.. I highly DON'T recommend buying it, it really doesn't stick that well :(
I then went and numbered each of the circles and then added them to the gifts. In my note to Lindsey Jo I asked that she either open 1-2 gifts per day, but that 10 and 11 should be opened together, since they are my two favorite things from the entire set.
I thought that it would be more fun to have her open things throughout the month instead of all at once, even though I told her that if it was me getting this I would probably still open everything at once.
I really don't want to share what I bought/made for her, just for the fact that I'm not sure if she's opened everything yet.
For Christmas I got a gift card to Ulta and I thought I would go out and use it up. After being in the store for over an hour, I remembered something that I had been looking for for a while.. peach blush. So thankfully my search finally ended when I got to the Smashbox section and I finally found it in Paradise, no really..
The color is beautiful on and I just had to share it incase there are any other people that are looking for a subtle peach blush.
Yesterday I got to work on making some new things for the shop.
I know, I know.. I originally planned on not adding any new items to the shop for the month of February, so I already broke my little chart plans.. eh, oh well!
I needed a little pouch for my purse, so I thought that since I have plenty of fabric just sitting around that I would make a couple more to try and sell them, my luck they'll just sit around and collect dust.
Anyways, here's some of the goodies that were added to the shop:
