Homemade Dog Treats
My brother is coming home for Christmas and is bringing along his super cute dog. I had found a recipe online and I wanted to try it so that I had something for the dog while it was here and for him to take home with him. I've already been testing it out on my own dog.. in fact he ate about four of the smaller ones yesterday. In the process of making these, I made a double batch the first time around and didn't think there was enough.. so then I made another double batch and then I had WAY too much! So tomorrow Buckeye and I will be walking around to his neighborhood friends house's to deliver them for them to have.
Just save this image below and print.

DIY: Hair Bow Clips
1. Measure out your ribbon, my larger pieces (the bottom ones) were about 6 1/2" with extra tucking room. You will need two in a large size, two medium, two small, and one very small piece that will be used for the middle.
2. Begin to wrap your ribbon around and glue.
3. Then wrap the other end around and glue that to the back. Do this for your other five pieces.. DO NOT touch the very small single piece.
4. I used a clamp to hold them together while they dried.
5 & 6. Take your very small single piece and wrap it like you did in step two and glue it together.
7. Clamp them all and wait for them to dry.
8. Unclamp the pieces and layer them on top of each other, biggest to smallest, moving up. When done, add your small piece to the center and add hair clip or pin back to the back of the bow.
And P.S.
I found my new place to take photos at night.. so exciting!
Would you have thought these were taken at 8PM?

Recipe: Homemade Pizza
On Saturday night there was a lot of deliciousness that was happening around this house. First of all I started the morning/afternoon by baking Christmas cookies.. can you believe there's less than two weeks until the big day? Hooray!
After making cookies I wanted to make this recipe, because lets be honest the pictures at that blog look scrumptious! This meal was my first time really making something on my own that we haven't made before and for it being my first time and making this all on my own, I have to say it was really easy and really tasted good.
So I made these two amazing treats..
Homemade Cheese Garlic Bread & Cheese Pizza!
Let's just say the entire pizza is gone.. everyone loved both goodies!
Recipe found on Lauren's site:
(definitely check out her site for easy to follow pictures!)
*The dough recipe will either make 2 pizzas or both the pizza and breadsticks.. you don't have to double your ingredients to make both.
Basic Pizza Dough
yield: 2-12 inch pizzas, approximately 1 lb. of dough
yield: 2-12 inch pizzas, approximately 1 lb. of dough
Ingredients:
1 cup warm water
2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
1 tablespoon honey {or sugar}
2 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons olive or canola oil
3 cups bread flour {give or take 1/2 cup…depending on the heat & humidity}
1 cup warm water
2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
1 tablespoon honey {or sugar}
2 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons olive or canola oil
3 cups bread flour {give or take 1/2 cup…depending on the heat & humidity}
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, preferably that of a stand mixer, stir yeast and honey into warm water. Sit for 5-10 minutes or until bubbles form and mixture starts to foam. This tells you that the yeast is alive and kicking. Pour in salt, oil and half the flour and mix.

Cheesy Garlic Bread Sticks

yield: 1- 12 inch pie
Ingredients:
1/2 recipe Fail-Proof Pizza Dough
2 tablespoons softened salted butter
2 cloves garlic, finely minced
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese {use the real stuff!}
1/4 pound grated mozzarella cheese
{salt & pepper, if desired}
1/2 recipe Fail-Proof Pizza Dough
2 tablespoons softened salted butter
2 cloves garlic, finely minced
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese {use the real stuff!}
1/4 pound grated mozzarella cheese
{salt & pepper, if desired}
Directions:
Preheat oven to 500 degrees with pizza stone inside. {If you don’t have a pizza stone, use an upside down cookie sheet} Mix butter and garlic in a small bowl and set aside. Spread pizza dough out into a 12-inch circle on parchment paper. {This makes it easier to transfer to the pizza stone.} Spread the butter and garlic mixture over dough and top with parmesan and mozzarella cheeses. Top with a light sprinkling of salt and pepper, if desired. {That step is totally optional!}

This post was supposed to go up about two or three weeks ago and for some reason it never posted.. so here it is!
A little while back I was asking people to send in their pictures to be edited and Tracy was one of them who did! I loved her pictures and I was going to ask to use them, but decided not to.. and then there was an email from Tracy with the images that I wanted to badly to use!

Craft Fair
On Saturday I participated in my first ever Craft Fair that was held at my church. While it wasn't what I expected, it still seemed to turn out okay. I am relieved that it's all over.. but it feels like a lot of time went into getting things ready and then it's all over in just one day.
Luckily for you there are a lot of left over items that I'll be grouping together and listing in the next couple of days!
Here's a couple pictures of my table.. and my very bright desk chair that someone wanted to steal.

Goodwill Finds
On Saturday night I went over to Goodwill and scored on some pretty great little things. My biggest item was one of the cheapest, compared to some of the smaller items.. it always happens that way, doesn't it?
I had just cleaned out some of my storage drawers and I was heading to Goodwill to find some solutions for the drawers so things would be organized and not thrown all over the place. When I came across the boxes, which I think were supposed to come with lids but they weren't there, I knew they would be perfect. All I have to do is sand them and then give them a good coat of paint. I pulled them apart when I noticed the $1.50 price tag, because I thought maybe each of them were going to be priced individually.. but nope, they all came together! I also picked up some long-sleeved onesies that were still in their packaging.. they just need a washing and then they'll be good as new! And my favorite was finding some Martha Stewart Stamps for only a dollar. I also picked up some other goodies, such as some hang tags, two frames, a candle holder, and embossing powder.
Overall, I think this trip was a major score!
