I may or may not have had a date night with this cute little boy and his kitten, Bella. :) Talk about adorable.. but also a kid with some attitude. He told me, "I think you need to watch your attitude." Yeah, okay! We had pizza and we talked about what was going to happen for our real date. He told me that we were going to go to the movies. I posted this video on Facebook the last time I babysat him and we talked about our date. It's too funny.
Today Mom and I had to run up to school to get some final things set in place for the Spring quarter and of course I had to stop at Ikea. I promised that I was only going to go into the As Is section and that would be all.. but as we all know I had to shop the rest of the store as well. I also decided that I'm going to redo my room this summer and paint it a very light pink and use my black and white accents to set it off.
I'm deciding on Petal Bloom (far top right corner), Poetic Princess (second row), or Palace Rose (third row).
Anyways, while at Ikea I picked up these things:
The most amazing picture frame! I love the shape of this and that two photos can go in it to be switched around :) And only 99 cents!
I mostly bought all of that to sit on this..
I also bought a black and white slip cover for something that I'm going to use to make pillows for my bed.. Speaking of a bed, I found this one today that I think I'll be purchasing for my room as well :)
Needless to say, I can't wait to redo my room to see how everything comes together.. :)
or Mr. Gorgeous, as I call him.. :) The other day he helped me bake cookies for the women and men at work..by eating them as they fell off the tray and magically into his mouth. Surprise Surprise! :)
Sadly enough, he was also a bad boy and had to have the muzzle put on for biting at me.
Until it was bath time and I finally took it off for him to enjoy it.. haha, yeah right.
When Buckeye gets a bath, so do you.. :/
After this is was nap time on my computer, in which I was trying to use to do homework. Then it was time for some fun in the snow..
And my all time favorite..
:) Oh how I love you Buckeye. I'm glad you were my Valentine today.. let's be Valentines everyday! :)
"Let the beauty of what you love be what you do" - Rumi I bought a charm that I added onto this necklace with this quote on it. I absolutely love it and it fits me perfectly.
This weekend I went pattern crazy with buying them 5 for $5.. what a deal! :) I bought quite a few for handbags and getaway bags.. I even bought one that has the cutest pin cushions. I'm hoping to learn how to use these and the sewing machine better within this month. Maybe I'll be an expert by the time my birthday comes around.. :) Let's not count on it though! Anyways, thought I should add the posting to the pin cushion that I made at the end of January! I love it and use it all of the time! It was super easy to create and I made it.. which makes it even better. The tutorial is on my other blog, so just follow the link below :) Pin Cushion Tutorial
Today I got roses for Valentines Day :) And we as a family went to dinner at the Spaghetti Warehouse.. talk about a perfect day! Thanks Dad.
Start this blog off with something I've already created. I made both of these a couple weeks ago (the necklace and the jewelry board). You can actually go here to see how I made the jewelry board.
I'm Sara. 20 years old. I work at a pottery shop part-time and I go to school full-time. During my in between time I love to make things.. crafts mostly. Anything with felt, fabric, and paper. I'm just learning to use the sewing machine so as you can believe that's pretty exciting to me!
As for this blog, I'm just going to use it to post crafts and things I'm either working on at the time or have done previously. I'll also probably use this to post any creative inspirations that I see and would love to try. Whether I get around to doing them that could be another story!
I will probably be opening an Etsy shop.. hopefully sooner than later. If you don't know what Esty is you should because you're going to fall in love with it! Go here to check it out! I already have someone from my moms work that wants to buy the felt clutch I just made.. whoo hoo!
Anyways, I'm just playing around with the blog for probably the first month to get everything figured out. So please check back whenever you want. :)
